Safe from Harm
This piece tells the story of a small boy evacuated from his home in the city to the safety of the countryside during WW2. He finds a crate of museum treasures and artefacts lost en route to a place of safety. The crate allows him to lose himself in his own imaginary world which helps him deal with his sadness.
This piece of music and soundart depicts the destruction and disruption of war to family life during the time of World War 1. It is part of a visual art installation in the form of a full-sized front room from the same period painted completely in the Dazzle camouflage used on WW1 ships.
